DESIGN
1. Initial Consultation
Free of charge we provide an initial consultation to discuss with you exactly what you're
looking for in your new garden and what your precise requirements are. During this
consultation our expert looks at the location and size of your existing garden and takes photographs. Afterwards the consultant chats with you over a cup of coffee about possible
design options taking into account what our preliminary research has shown and what
you desire.
2. Site Survey; Preparation of project outline
If you are happy with what is proposed during the initial consultation, a few days later we
carry out a comprehensive site survey during which we measure all the dimensions of your garden, note down every other key aspect about it, for example light, shade and heights,
as well as test the soil and those matured plants, bushes and trees that are already
established.
We then create a list of important factors that must be included in our design to ensure that
your new garden will fit your lifestyle and budget, and give you maximum enjoyment for
years to come.
3. Draft Design
Over the following week our landscape team produces a draft design based upon your
desires and the important factors mentioned above, taking into account your criteria and
budget as well as the timescale allowed for the project. Presentation of this proposed design
and further discussion then takes place with you and if required alterations or adaptations
are made.
4. Final Garden Design
At this stage we produce a final presentation design for you, which will include a plant
specification and layout plan and in-depth detailing of key features such as ponds, paths and drives.
Preparation of final (working) project for the site, includes the following modules:
• Preliminary dendrology
• Vertical planning
• Tracing project
• Planting project
After finalizing the project 3D comprehensive visualizations will be prepared to present
a better picture of the project itself.
5. Quotation & Bill of Quantities
Together with this final presentation design comes a very detailed ‘Bill of Quantities’ and ‘Cost Quotation’ for the implementation and execution of the project.
6. Project Management
Once the project design and cost is agreed a designated landscape designer from our team
is appointed to oversee design and construction of your new garden from conception
to delivery.
TreeHuggers provides comprehensive garden landscaping and maintenance services.
